Kiera Ward placed 18th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.48. Kemi Balogun was 17th in the triple jump with a leap of 35'6.25". Miniya Pinnix took 11th place in the 800 meter run in 2:18.83. The 4x400 meter relay of Amanda McCann, Eliza Brennan, Faith Crawford and Miniya placed 18th in 4:08.00. Angelo Allen was 19th in the shot put with a throw of 48'6". The team had a very successful indoor season which will set them up for a great outdoor season. 

The team had a very good day at the Tri-State Coaches Championship. Kiera Ward took the silver medal in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.30. Kemi Balogun also took silver in the triple jump with a leap of 36'1".  Eliza Brennan placed second in the 400 meter dash in 1:00.53. In the most exciting race of the day Miniya Pinnix battled to second in a very close finish with a time of 2:18.21.  The 4x400 relay team of Miniya, Eliza, Faith Crawford and Amanda McCann took silver with a season best time of 4:08.89. The 4x200 meter relay team of Eliza, Kemi, Faith and Kiera placed 4th in 1:47.45. Angleo Allen took 5th place with a throw of 50'2" in the shot put. The 4x400 relay team of Shamarr Holmes, Josh Lee, Roland Glenn and Jonah Silverman took an 8th placed medal in 3:42.79. The following team members have qualified for the State Indoor Championship meet on March 1 on Penn States banked 200 meter track. Miniya Pinnix in the 800, Kiera Ward in the 60 meter hurdles, Kemi Balogun in the triple jump and Angelo Allen in the shot put. The 4x400 meter relay team of Eliza Brennan, Amanda McCann, Faith Crawford and Miniya Pinnix also qualified. 

Eliza Brennan won the 400 meter dash in 59.88. Kiera Ward placed 5th in the 200 meter dash with an indoor PR of 27.83. Miniya Pinnix was 2nd in the 800 meter run in 2:23.97. Kemi Balogun placed 3rd in the triple jump with a leap of 34'3". The girl's 4x400 meter relay team of Eliza, Miniya, Amanda McCann and Faith Crawford won with a time of 4:11.57. Angelo Allen took 3rd place in the shot put with a throw of 48'3". Jonah Silverman was 5th in the 800 meter run with a season best 2:03.80. Josh Lee placed 5th in the 400 meter dash in 54.47. The 4x400 meter relay team of Josh, Jonah, Shamarr Holmes and David Hogan was 6th with a time of 1:40.84. The team will compete in the Tri-State Championship Meet on Saturday at Edinboro University. 

Kemi Balogun on her second jump of the day made the state qualifying mark with a leap of 36'3" and a third place finish. Jonah Silverman took 4th place in the 800 meter run in 2:04.66. The 4x200 meter relay team of Jonah, Shamarr Holmes, Josh Lee and Alex Bell placed 4th in 1:39.23. The 4x400 meter relay team of Josh, Jonah Shamarr and David Hogan won the event in 3:44.40. On Sunday at The Spire Scholastic Showcase in Geneva, Ohio, Miniya Pinnix took 5 seconds off her season time placing 10th in 2:18.48 qualifying her for the state meet. Eliza Brennan placed 19th 59.66, The 4x400 relay team of Eliza, Miniya, Faith Crawford and Amanda McCann placed 7th in 4:11.04.

Kiera Ward placed second in the 60 meter hurdles and made the state qualifying time in 9.39. Angelo Allen also achieved the state standard in the shot put placing 3rd with a heave of 51'9.75", a personal best.  Miniya Pinnix took second in the 400 meter dash, 1:01.61 and 800 meter run in 2:25.93. Kemi Balogun once again won the triple jump with a leap of 34'6.5" Eliza Brennan placed 6th in the 200 meter dash in 26.96. The girls' 4x400 meter relay of Faith Crawford, Miniya, Amanda McCann and Eliza in 4:11.22. Jonah Silverman lowered his time in the 800 meter run placing 8th 2:04,55 The boys' 4x400 meter relay of Jonah, Roland Glenn, David Hogan and Shamarr Holmes placed 3rd in 3:48.08.

Eliza Brennan was the first athlete to qualify for the state championship on Saturday at Youngstown State University. Eliza placed second in the 400 meter dash in 59.72. Miniya Pinnix kept her undefeated streak in winning the 800 with a season best time of 2:23.20. Kemi Balogun won the triple jump with a season best leap of 35'5.5". Kemi also took 4th in the 60 meter dash in 8.27. The girls 4x400 meter relay of Amanda McCann, Eliza, Fatih Crawford and Miniya won in a season best time of 4:10.28, just missing the state qualifying standard.  Jonah Silverman placed 5th in the 800 meter run with a season best 2:05.12. Angelo Allen placed 4th in the shot put with a throw of 47'3.25". The boys' 4x200 meter relay of Shamarr Holmes, Donnell Blackwell, Alex Bell and Roland Glenn placed 8th in 1:43.61. The 4x400 relay team of Josh Lee, Shamarr, Roland and Jonah took 2nd place in 3:43.78.  

Miniya Pinnix won the 800 meter run for the second week in a row in a season best time of 2:25.77. Eliza Brennan won the 400 meter dash in 1:01.18. Eliza placed 3rd in the 200 meter dash in 26.91 and Alexis Phillips took 7th in 27.66. Kemi Balogun had a season best jump of 35'3" placing 2nd in the triple jump. The girls 4x200 meter relay team of Eliza, Kemi, Miniya and Faith Crawford took first place. The 4x400 meter relay also won. That team was made up of Miniya, Faith, Eliza and Amanda McCann. Angelo Allen placed 4th in the shot put with a throw of 45'9.75".Josh Lee placed 6th in the 400 meter dash in 55.22. Jonah Silverman was 4th in the 800 meter run with the time of 2:07.32. The boys 4x200 meter relay team of Shamarr Holmes, Josh Lee, Alex Bell and Jonah Silverman placed 5th in 1:40.18. The 4x400 meter relay team of Josh, Shamarr, Roland Glenn and Jonah were 2nd in 3:45.14.

The Penn Hills Indoor Track Team opened up it's 2020 season this Saturday at Edinboro University. Angelo Allen continued his success in the shot put with a 4th place finish with his indoor pr heave of 47'8.75". Kiera Ward placed 3rd in the 60 meter high hurdles with an all time best of 9.90 seconds. Josh Lee placed 9th in the 400 meter dash in 55.53 and Eliza Brennan ran 1:03.90 placing 4th. Jonah Silverman ran an indoor pr placing 8th in the 800 meter run in 2:07.49. Miniya Pinnix won the 800 in 2:29.87. Kemi Balogun won the triple jump with a leap of 34'10". The girl's 4x200 relay team of Eliza, Miniya, Faith Crawford and Amand McCann placed 3rd in 1:52.15. The 4x400 relay made up of the same girls placed 2nd in 4:21.66. The boy's 4x400 relay team of Josh Lee, Shamarr Holmes, David Hogan and Jonah Silverman placed 3rd with the time of 3:50.63.
