Over Labor Day weekend the Penn Hills Cross Country team participated in the first invitational of the season on the grueling Gateway Boyce Park Course. Junior Austin Stuchul led the way for the boys' team with a strong finish in 25th place with the time of 20:19. Sophomore Sawyer Kinney finished in 35th place in 20:56. Owen Templer placed 69th with a time of 25:21. Devon Bishop gave a great effort competing in his first meet placing 72nd in 31:27.

On the girls' side Larissa Lockridge placed 43rd with a time of 29:36. Talia Russell running in her first cross country race placed 51st in 34:01. 

The team will compete on Friday, September 17 in the Kiski Invitational at North Moreland Park
