Shania Lewis collected three hits in three at bats, as Penn Hills Varsity Indians defeated Jeannette Varsity Jayhawk 6-0 on Tuesday.
Lewis doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the second inning.
Isabella DeCarlo struck out 10 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also gave up one hit and zero runs over seven innings while walking two.
Penn Hills Varsity Indians got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Jeannette Varsity Jayhawk committed an error, Lewis doubled, and Damiana Hopkins singled, each scoring one run.
Grace Stein took the loss for Jeannette Varsity Jayhawk. They went five innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out 13 and walking none.
