Announcements

UPDATE 1/4/21: Winter sports have resumed practices and may start competing as early as January, 8 2021. Fall and spring sports may also resume off-season workouts while continuing to follow all guidelines.
PHSD Student-Athletes and Families,
Per Governor Wolf's announcement, today will be the last day for practices or competition until January 4th, 2021. The pause on all athletic activities starts at 12:01am tonight and goes through Monday, Jan 4 at 8:00am.
During this 3 week period, teams may not hold any in-person practices, workouts, or meetings. Teams may hold virtual team meetings, virtual film sessions and send workout plans for players to complete at home. This is also a great opportunity for students to catch up on school work so that they are all eligible to compete once athletics resume.
The WPIAL shared that winter sports will be required to complete 4 days of practice before the first competition after the shutdown. That means the earliest we could return to competition is Friday, Jan 8th. We will continue to keep all of you updated as we hear more.
For teams competing or practicing today, please enjoy this time with each other as we look forward to resuming athletics in 2021.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Strauss
Director of Athletics
